My wife, Abby, and I have three children: Evan, Bowan and Stella, and NewHeritage is our fourth. We both agree there isn't one solid answer as to how NewHeritage came to be, but rather numerous life experiences that brought this vision to reality.
I have to admit, I've had a sketchbook in my hand since I was five years old. I received my B.A. degree in Environmental Design from Montana State University. Following graduation from MSU, Abby and I got married and headed to Kansas, where I obtained my Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk)! We are now settled on our small hobby farm near Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.

Our Family Cabin
This family cabin has always been an important part of my life and been in the family for the past 70 years. All throughout my childhood, my parents made a 19-hour trek with three kids in tow, to SE Ontario. This hideaway has been a constant for me; a refuge from the transient, fast-paced way we often live. The travel struggles to get there were and continue to be worth every second. I couldn't thank my grandparents enough for this remarkable place that I am now able to take my family to. It helps me create a stronger balance with life and continually gives me inspiration for my design and creativity.
